Enstratius (formerly enStratus) is a cloud computing infrastructure management platform built by Valtira, beginning in 2009 and eventually acquired by Dell in 2013.
Enstratus addressed governance issues associated with deploying systems in public, private, and hybrid clouds. More than twenty public and private clouds are supported, as well as configuration management tools. Enstratius supports both SaaS and on-premises deployment models.
DELL ACQUIRES ENSTRATIUS IN MAY 2013
The acquisition of Enstratius enhanced Dell’s end-to-end solutions strategy bringing key capabilities to deliver cloud management products to its customers. Enstratius is available as software-as-a-service or as on-premise software that enables full control from within a customer’s data center, or via a hosted service. Entratius provides enhanced, multi-cloud management and application configuration capabilities and integrates converged offerings with cloud systems management.
