Improved Search Engine Presence

M7 Aerospace

M7 Aerospace was formed in December 2002 through the acquisition of the assets of FairchildDornier, one of the most well respected names in aviation with a history dating back to World War I and the invention of aerial photography. The company has several business units, but their core business has been selling aircraft parts for the Fairchild Metro line of aircraft. If you did a search on the web for "Fairchild Metro" or "Fairchild Metro parts" as recently as April 2004, the M7 Aerospace web site did not show up at all. In fact, if you did not know that M7 Aerospace had acquired FairchildDornier, it would have been very difficult to find who was the right source for Metro parts.

Establishing a Web Presence

M7 needed to use the web to establish the new M7 Aerospace brand and make it possible for their old customers to find them. They used the Simplicis™ Marketing Dashboard™ to control the messaging that would enable them to leverage the power of the Fairchild and Dornier brands while evolving into the M7 Aerospace brand. Simplicis further enabled each of the six distinct M7 business units to take control over their online messaging while remaining consistent with the core company brand.

M7 Realizes Immediate Results

M7 saw immediate results from the search engine marketing features built into the Simplicis Marketing Dashboard. Within a month of going live, visitors were reaching the M7 Aerospace web site under hundreds of different search terms critical to the company business. Most important to the company's early web strategy, when you search for "Fairchild Metro", M7 Aerospace is the #1 result in Google.

The results were much more than better search engine rankings. Simplicis enabled M7 Aerospace to readily build out an online document repository instrumental in the company's ability to grow its business to meet the demanding online reporting needs of the U.S. government. Government business with M7 Aerospace grew from a single program to four different major programs.

A Solid Technology Platform

Though not an initial consideration in M7's selection of Simplicis, the Marketing Dashboard proved to be a solid web platform for building out an ecommerce system that made it possible for M7 Aerospace to begin selling aircraft parts online.
