Valtira Announces Integration to Leading Cloud CDN Solutions

Minneapolis, MN - Valtira today announces integration of its content management system (CMS) to leading Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions from cloud providers including Amazon Web Services CloudFront. This makes managing, deploying and delivering web-based content across the globe easier than before. Now, Valtira natively links to those assets deployed in the CDN, without the need for developer intervention. Meaning, no sophisticated tools or developer time is necessary for enhancing your global web presence.

Customers leveraging Valtira's CMS can now directly upload files to storage platforms such as Amazon Web Service S3 and CloudFront. Storage platforms, like CloudFront, redirect your data to distribute content with low latency via a global network of edge locations. This advanced routing technology provides more control of asset delivery and network load. Integrating these CDN solutions with Valtira's CMS will provide customers HD quality content with increased availability, lower delivery costs, and a much lower network load.

Files that are supported include images, documents, style sheets or any other file supported by storage services like S3. Once files are uploaded, Valtira customers can reference the CNS file embedded in the Simplicis Console at any time. This allows Valtira customers to move files and rename files directly from the Valtira CMS system.

Additional CDN networks will be integrated into the new solution in coming months, including Rackspace Cloud Files.

On Cloud Apps

"...What I mean by building a cloud app is designing and implementing an application in a disconnected way, leveraging cheaper on-demand infrastructure. Amazon's cloud offers many services that I can just use, rather than have to setup, administer and maintain myself. I've built applications using EC2 (for HTML/JSP/Video Streaming), SNS (for notifcations to users), S3 & CloudFront for CDN. All of these services I could run using my own infrastructure & applications, but I don't need to anymore. All of these services exist & operate without the other, but together, provide the services users need..."
